BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Giuliana Barron Del Solar earned her medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, one of the top medical schools in Lima, Peru. She has over twelve years of clinical experience across diverse areas of medicine, including patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and medical communication. In the field of research, she has contributed to data management, analysis of emerging disease trends, and the preparation of weekly public health reports.


Currently, Dr. Barron Del Solar conducts research on human subjects involving the insertion of catheters and probes into the gastrointestinal tract. She also collaborates as a co-author on clinical trials, managing progress updates and research reports. As part of cross-functional research and development teams. Her responsibilities include supporting the tech transfer process, initiating and maintaining collaborations with academic research groups, and consulting with key opinion leaders to support both preclinical and clinical development. She plays an integral role in all aspects of the Fecobionics project, which studies

anorectal physiology and involves patients with fecal incontinence and functional constipation. Additionally, she contributes to the Eso-tracker project, which focuses on esophageal physiology.


Most recently, Dr. Barron Del Solar was admitted to the Master of Public Health program at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where she will continue her commitment to advancing public health through research and education.
