Maryam Zabihi, MD

Histology Lab Technician

Dr. Zabihi, began her journey at the Herat Medical Faculty in Afghanistan, where she earned her MD. She then embarked on a teaching career in the Department of Histopathology at the same institution, imparting knowledge to students in both the medical and dentistry faculties.

Furthering her education, she achieved her Master of Medical Science from Al-Farabi University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. During this period, she contributed to the scientific community by publishing several papers in both national and international journals.

In 2022, Dr. Zabihi relocated to the United States and joined the California Medical Innovation Institute as a Histology Lab Technician. Currently, she is completing her research fellowship, serving as a scientist in Calmi2’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)and continues her histology work in the lab.
