Biography
He had his postdoctoral training in Institute of Experimental Clinical Research at Aarhus University, Denmark and Biomedical Engineering Department at University of California, Irvine. He was appointed as research faculty in Department of Medicine at University of California, Irvine. Before joining CalMI2, he was a Research Professor in Biomedical Engineering Department at Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis.
He was a member of the American Physiological Society and Biomedical Engineering Society. He served as a reviewer of journals. Dr. Lu has published over 50 peer-reviewed publications. His scientific interests encompass the structural-function relation in response to mechanical and pathophysiological stimuli and mechanotransduction in cardiovascular and gastroenterology systems.
